My adoration of Australian design wunderkind Dion Lee continues, with his latest offerings for the Resort collections.
As we you’d expect – there’s plenty of accordion pleating, draping, architecture and modest cutouts to be seen, in familiar hues of black, cobalt and icy blue.
Not so expected though, the Aztec-inspired prints, shift dresses and the occasional splash of pink contained in this Dion Lee Resort collection.
There’s a certain sport-luxe feel with the fabric mix and methods Lee has used, and it all comes together when you read the collection notes: themes like sport, games, mazes, illusion, knots and traps his key inspiration.
And look! It’s the skirt over pant, 2014′s indicator of an ‘edgy’ collection.
